Our upcoming and final compendium, Legends of Prestige & Prowess, has a variety of new subclasses designed to fill out the empty spaces left by the Player’s Handbook and the other official content sources. These include new one-third caster subclasses in the same vein as the Eldritch Knight fighter and the Arcane Trickster rogue, such as today’s preview: the Path of the Battle Shaman, a one-third caster subclass for barbarians. The Battle Shaman draws on themes of ritual combat and ancestral or primordial spirits and allows the barbarian the limited ability to cast spells even while raging.
